Out of Country is a podcast created by Leah Serinsky, Aura Hedengren and Liz Shook: two Americans and a Swedish-speaking Finn living in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Out of Country is born from the intimate, ongoing conversations about the ways that life out of country rocks our identities, relationships and perspectives on life - wether we left because of work, love, whim or necessity.
Our guests share their own stories and experiences on the show. We bring the conversation to everyone who wants to join or listen in, in the hopes it will help us all feel a little more like we belong.

Meet Our Team
Leah Serinsky
Co-host
Leah moved from New York, USA, to Denmark in 2021. She has lived in six different countries and speaks a handful of languages. Leah has a background in International Relations and Theater & Film.
Aura Hedengren
Co-host
Aura comes from Helsinki, Finland. She has been in Copenhagen for over 10 years, and has dual citizenship. Aura has a background in Food & Hospitality, Marketing and Leadership.
Liz Shook
Producer
Originally from Cape Cod, USA, Liz moved to Copenhagen in 2020. She has lived in both Switzerland and Ethiopia, previously. Liz is a freelance film producer for commercial film and branded content.
